Join us at Friendly Hills Country Club on Monday, May 16, 2011 for a fun-filled day of “friendly” competition as we raise money for the children at Oralingua School for the Hearing Impaired in Whittier.  All proceeds will directly benefit these wonderful kids who make us believe that anything is possible!  Despite their significant hearing loss, these children are learning how to listen and talk…YES, TALK!  Go to www.oralingua.org to learn more about this terrific tournament!

Upcoming Event: Dining Alfresco

On Saturday, April 24th Oralingua School will be hosting “Dining Alfresco” an event to benefit the children of Oralingua School. The cost is $25 per person and includes a delicious luncheon prepared by Lascari’s & Gold Catering, wine, beer and cold beverages. We also have raffle tickets that are being sold for 1-$1 or 25-$20 The prizes are great… 1st) 42″ Flat Screen TV, 2nd) Blue Ray DVD Player, 3rd) Case of Windsor Wine. Winner need not be present at event to win.

Did someone say update…

Hello friends! We have been super busy here at Oralingua.
Since our last post we’ve had a visit from Santa…

…just joking here’s the real Santa:

The kids had such a great time exchanging gifts…

They performed some Holiday songs for us…

…and had such a great time!

Some of our students were also able to participate in the Uptown Whittier Christmas Parade! Despite the cold rain the children had a blast!

We welcomed our students back on January 4, 2010! Since then the kids have been participating in school wide fundraisers including See’s Candies sales, Cookie Dough sales and now selling raffle tickets for our upcoming “Dining Alfresco” event!

The kids and families are working hard to keep their school running because our program makes such a dynamic impact in their lives!

Thank you for your continued support! We really appreciate it!

Oralingua Halloween 2009

Halloween 2009 at Oralingua [Part 1]

On Wednesday, October 28 students from Krista’s class performed a little Halloween play for the students, staff and families of Oralingua…

On Friday the students will be making their way around the school to Trick or Treat! This provides a wonderful time to work on language as well as practice some safety tips when they go out to trick or treat in neighborhoods! I will be posting some pictures from our Friday festivities, including some shots of the Halloween Parade so keep a look out!

CASINO ROYALE 009: October 10, 2009
…Join us for an evening of food, fun, gaming and fundraising! This event raises funds to support the extraordinary students of Oralingua School for the Hearing Impaired. Our continued success depends on your active participation so please call and reserve your spot now. Tickets are $50 per person and includes live music, open martini bar, cigar station, raffle and hors d’ oeuvres. The event is from 6-10pm and is cocktail attire.

FALL ARTS & CRAFTS BOUTIQUE: October 24, 2009

Join us as we invite crafters, artists, retailers and parents for a Fall Boutique. Just in time for the holiday season, come and shop for gifts while supporting a worthwhile cause!
